I'm on a music kick.

There are so many new tunes that I'm absolutely lovin' these days. In fact, so much so, my turnover time for playing a track on repeat is growing shorter -from song of the month to weeks or days even- to make room for more greatness.

Today's popsession is 'Blurred Lines' by Robin Thicke feat T.I. and Pharrell. The song itself is absolutely fab, but the video takes the cake! Love the energy, and with 2 versions circulating, you can join in on the fun - clean or otherwise.

It's a danceoff people...

 

Color me Nude.

As much as adding a lipstick pop of color amps up any summer ensemble, these days, I'm all about bare beauty - I love the messy beach locks, the bronzed shimmery glow, and the glossy pout of a nude lip.

Maybe even stalker obsessed.

In fact, I recently realized that I've been on an obsessive hunt to find the perfect summer nude lipstick. So many options... leading to so many questions. What's the best nude for my complexion? Do I want a glossy or steel matte finish? Should I opt for a soft peach hue; a glossy caramel; a pink tint; or a buff neutral? Perhaps I will have to get them all...

So strip down, and bare those luscious lips au naturel... It's the ultimate summer staple to looking fresh and radiant like a ray of sunshine.

Seems everything Jay-Z touches turns to gold.

The hip hop/life mogul has shown us once again (in case you forgot) that he really is the king of his craft - this time with his newly released album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail.'

Start from track 1 and just let it play. With JT kicking off the album, additional appearances by Rick Ross, Frank Ocean, and even Mrs. Queen B herself, these days, I am simply obsessed.

The Turban is Back.

One of my favorite things about summer is getting to be a little more out there, wild and free when it comes to your sense of style. Enter the turban as fashion headpiece.

Silk scarves, foulardes, and other such turbans magically hide the fright of frizz and work great for summer hair on the go -all the while keeping you looking easy breezy. No wonder its such a celebrity must have!

Yowza! Talk about one rock hard bod! Like literally... looks like a bikini clad suit of armor. That and I love the mermaid meets ninja turtle vibe. Hot.

Sidenote: Can this even get wet? I guess who cares when you look this good?!

Ode to James Gandolfini.

Hollywood remains shocked and deeply saddened this morning as the death of brilliant actor James Gandolfini is heard around the world. According to reports, James passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday night in Italy, at the age of 51, possibly due to a heart attack.

Best known for his role as the ever complex mob boss Tony Soprano on HBO's The Sopranos, James Gandolfini was truly one of a kind; one of the greats. Today is our loss, indeed.
My heart goes out to his family and friends at this time, both real and make believe.

Seems metallic is all the rage these days. Seems more so in silver... more specifically in shoes.

I gotta say, I absolutely adore this look. And I love the versatility it lends - a pleasant surprise considering the shiny, reflective pop it brings. In fact, it's more of a great neutral at heart; a go-to amp up for any outfit -bold prints and basics alike. My newest obsession for sure.

Popfession...I can't wait for tonight because, alas, once again, I am reunited with the Kardashian Klan on Season 8 of E!'s Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Honestly, I'm stoked! It's made my week. I think I am completely obsessed with not only the Kim, Kourtney, Khloe trifecta, but with the whole kit and kabudle of a family as well.

Plus who isn't looking forward to reuniting with former The Hills and Prince of Malibu star Brody Jenner, who will become a regular this season? Love. That, and we get to witness the growth of baby Kimye, Kris Jenner being well... Kris Jenner, Kendal and Kylie's riske selfies, I mean I could go on. So much to say. To be continued. Let's face it. We all love a good old fashion celebrity scandal. We live for juicy gossip of, and seemingly wait for, Hollywood's elite to fall from grace. Train Wrecks. Walking Disasters. Public Meltdowns. We obsess about it all.

With Lilo in rehab for a 3 month stint, is this all part of a well plotted publicity ploy wherein Amanda is taking over the tabloid thrown?
I mean, the girl sure knows how, and what to say to get noticed. Is she giving us -the public- what we want?

 

Or am I, alongside countless others, simply a bystander in a very public downwards spiral...

Bling Shines at Cannes.

Not gonna lie. I love slash am ob-ses-sed with young Hollywood, specifically circa the Paris Hilton/Nicole Richie simple life days. Plus, I totally love Sofia Coppola. So when I learned that her newest project, The Bling Ring, was based on the 2009 celebrity jewelry heist, I was pretty much all in!

...And yes to Paris Hilton for promoting it at Cannes -having been an actual celebrity victim herself. It was the perfect embodiment of art imitating life. As was, whilst at the festival, how she famously partied all week in true blinged out miss Hilton, fame and fortune, style. Ah the irony...

After following Holly, Brigit and Kendra for years on the Girls Next Door, I became privy to their lives, the mansion and the people who occupy it. Head honcho Hugh M. Hefner included.

This man operates on a whole other level, and why should his fashion be any different? I love how the founder of playboy has such swag; master of the just rolled out of bed look...That, and how he gets away with it! I love this look. Like stalker obsessed. It's the ultimate melange of fierce meets effortless beauty. What a combo. I love looks that mix and match, that are unique, and that have fun with the conventional rules of fashion. And this, is at its best... Bravo.

For months now, I kept hearing this catchy song - in commercials, on tv shows - and only recently did I put it all together... Brandon Jenner and his sexy sounding wife Leah are behind it.

Liked yes, but obsessed I was not. That is until this week. I stumbled across a live performance from the Sunset Strip Music Festival and wow. Can't stop listening. Slash can't stop staring either. Love her freebird vibe. Love his jam session. Showstoppers some would say.

Her voice is so unique and soulful, a shock considering she looks and speaks like a total California babe. That, mixed with his beating, tribal drum sound is such an awesome combo, one that is maybe not as easy to pick up on in the radio version.

Hope you likey. What an adoring and fab duo, seems both on and off stage. I say, definitely a pair to watch for, who knows, maybe even obsess...

I love rings. My favorite type of jewelry by far. I love all kinds from dainty bands to chunky cocktails... although I do have a soft spot for blinged out golds, brasses and metallics above all else.

Lately I am simply ob-ses-sed with above the knuckle rings. Can not get enough. I love how they dress up your hands, discretely or showstopper style. What a look.

Update...Kim K has last laugh

Say what you will about Kim's pregnancy, this week things have been made crystal clear... The queen of reality tv is going to continue wearing whatever it is she feels like wearing. That, and to all the haters, back off and stop bullying! Simple as that.

After months of being dragged through the tabloid mud, Kanye's baby mama finally addressed the backlash head on. On Tuesday's GMA visit, she tastefully flipped all her haters the bird by standing behind her maternity fashion choices, for owning who she is regardless of what people will say..."My theory is happy mommy, happy baby, so whatever makes me feel good, I wanna wear." And for that I say kudos. (Scroll to the last minute or so of the clip below.)

And so, I cant help but wonder, is Kim having the last laugh? I mean, throughout it all, Kim is doing what she is so famous for... for being herself...no ifs, ands, or dare I say, butts about it.

All those wishing and hoping for anything other than custom leather ensembles and chic heels, seems the battle's been won. So, bow out gracefully and let this mother-to-be, be. I certainly have...

Popfession ... Only recently have I embarked on the lipstick bandwagon - shocking I know, considering wearing lipstick is a lady's right of passage, much like sexy stilettos or a tight lbd... And now that I have, I can't stop! No turning back. Obsessed.

I love it all. The way it makes me feel, how it looks, how it makes my inner beauty shine! I feel so much more confident, fabulous and put together when my lips are all dressed up!

Of course we love the classic chic reds -from dark ruby to fire engine. But today's obsessed is with the bold, bright and beautiful. The many shades of corals, oranges, apricots, and the like.

Now that spring has sprung, its the perfect time to play outside, run wild and keep it fresh! Plus think of how gorgeous these colors will look against your sun-kissed skin in the summer months...perhaps something to look forward to?!

Finally... Kim K Kills Maternity Wear!

We've all seen it. The at times shocking, uncomfy, what-was-she-thinking maternity style Kim Kardashian has been sporting throughout her pregnancy. But, alas, all of KK's experimenting, trial and error, and refusal to back down from haute couture fashion has finally paid off!

Could it be the babyover we were looking for? This week, Kim debuted bangs, alongside a bangin' new set of maternity chic ensembles. Yeezy's lady love opted for soft colours, flowing fabrics and noticeably looser silhouettes.
